Bánh Mì Sandwich – Pure Vietnamese Street Food
A crispy-fresh baguette, richly filled and perfectly seasoned – ideal as a quick snack for 1 person.
Ingredients:
Bread & Base
- 1 baguette roll
Meat & Spread
- 1 tbsp coarse pork pâté
- 1.5 cm Lyoner sausage, sliced
- 1.5 cm grilled pork belly, sliced
Vegetables
- 1 cucumber, cut into thin strips
- 1 carrot, grated
Seasoning & Sauces
- 1 tbsp mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp Nuoc Cham sauce
Garnish
- 1 handful fresh cilantro leaves
Preparation:
- 1. Slice the baguette roll lengthwise and toast lightly if desired.
- 2. Spread 1 tbsp pork pâté on the bottom half.
- 3. Layer in the Lyoner sausage and pork belly slices.
- 4. Evenly distribute cucumber strips and grated carrot.
- 5. Drizzle with mayonnaise and Nuoc Cham sauce.
- 6. Garnish with a handful of cilantro leaves.
- 7. Assemble the sandwich and enjoy immediately.
